The city informs about changed times at Christmas and New Year's
The town of Groß-Gerau is providing information about the opening and closing times of municipal facilities during the Christmas holidays and around New Year's. This includes, among others, the town hall, the town office and registry office, the town library, the music school, the town museum, and the indoor swimming pool.
Town Hall Groß-Gerau
The town hall closed
from Wednesday, December 24, 2025, through Friday, January 2, 2026. Staff will be available again during normal office hours starting Monday, January 5, 2026
Election Office – Special Regulation:
Due to the deadline for submitting nominations for the local elections, the Election Office (City Hall, 2nd floor) on December 29th and 30th , from 9 am to 12 pm , and can also be reached by telephone.
City office and registry office
The city office is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. December 29th and 30th .
The registry office is open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. December 29th and 30th as well as on January 2nd, 2026
Note: The electoral office, city office and registry office are operating with a skeleton staff available exclusively for urgent matters
City Library Groß-Gerau
The city library closed
from December 24, 2025, through January 2, 2026. It will reopen on Tuesday, January 6, 2026
Municipal Music School Groß-Gerau
The municipal music school closed during the school holidays from December 22nd no lessons held.
Regular office hours will resume on Monday, January 12th, 2026 .
City Museum Groß-Gerau
The city museum is open on December 28, 2025 , and on January 4, 2026 .
Indoor swimming pool Groß-Gerau
The indoor swimming pool will be closed on the following days:
