Branch libraries and the bookmobile will be closed over the holidays
The Darmstadt City Library is closing for its winter break. From Wednesday, December 24, 2025, through Saturday, January 3, 2026 , the main branch in the Justus Liebig House and the branch libraries in Eberstadt and Kranichstein will be closed. All libraries will reopen on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 , with regular opening hours
The bookmobile will also be taking a break over the New Year period. It will remain in the garage from Tuesday, December 23, 2025, until Friday, January 9, 2026. The bus will resume its usual routes on Tuesday, January 13, 2026
No return appointments will be scheduled for the library's closure days . The city library's digital services will remain fully available throughout the winter break.
