Over 1.4 million euros for a good cause – partnership ends after eleven years
After eleven years and an impressive donation total of 1,428,104 euros , one of the most remarkable social partnerships in German professional football has come to an end: The PEAK98 fundraising campaigns, a regular part of SV Darmstadt 98's home match days since the 2014/2015 second division season, were discontinued at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Last season alone, the 17 home games at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor an additional €116,380 . The total amount of all donations significantly exceeds the original target of one million euros. For years, this initiative supported social projects and organizations in Darmstadt and the surrounding region – a unique model of social sponsorship in football across Germany.

Volker Harr, Vice President of SV 98, is grateful and moved:
“When we started PEAK eleven years ago, Axel’s dream was to raise one million euros for charity. At the time, many considered that unrealistic – today we have not only reached that amount, but significantly exceeded it.”
He also emphasizes the strong involvement of the fans:
"The amount of donations from last season shows that our fans supported this project until the very end. Of course, we look back on the end of the cooperation with a heavy heart – but pride outweighs everything else."
Ines Dohmann , Managing Director of the PEAK Group, also looks back on eventful years: “What began as a three-year project turned into an eleven-year commitment. We got to know many people and their stories, people who desperately needed this support – that motivated us. This partnership is firmly anchored in our PEAK DNA.”
Perspective: New concept planned
Although the PEAK98 campaign is ending, the principle of dedicated sponsorship at SV 98 will be maintained. The club announced that it will continue in a modified form in the future. Details will be released by the club in due course.
