More trips, fewer complaints-e-bike network is expanded across the city
The e-mobility project in Weiterstadt shows after three months of running time: the number of trips with e-trollers and e-bikes increases, while symptoms decrease in the same way. Inner -city networking was also strengthened - especially on the so -called first and last mile between place of residence, public transport and destination.
The HEAG Mobilo , which accompanies and evaluates the pilot project as a mobility service provider in the region, speaks of an important step towards smart home mobility. Districts within continued city are now better connected, spontaneous short -haul trips are increasingly being assumed.
Griesheim is expanding the offer
Since July 10, 2025, citizens in Griesheim e-treads and e-bikes from the provider Bolt . The urban pilot project provides for the use of 130 e-trollers and 20 e-bikes . The special feature of the project is a national operating area :
- Trips are between Griesheim and Darmstadt with both types of vehicles.
- Between Griesheim and Weiterstadt, use with e-bikes is allowed-including parking in both cities.
The aim is to facilitate environmentally friendly transportation in everyday life , increase the attractiveness of local transport and to offer alternatives to the car.
