More trips, fewer complaints – e-bike network is being expanded across cities
The e-mobility project in Weiterstadt is showing encouraging progress after three months: The number of trips with e-scooters and e-bikes is increasing, while complaints are decreasing for the same distances traveled. The city's connectivity has also been strengthened – particularly on the so-called first and last mile between home, public transport, and destination.
HEAG mobilo , the regional mobility service provider overseeing and evaluating the pilot project, describes it as an important step towards smart local mobility. Neighborhoods within Weiterstadt are now better connected, and spontaneous short trips are being increasingly used.
Griesheim expands its offerings
Since July 10, 2025, residents of Griesheim e-scooters and e-bikes from the provider Bolt . The city's pilot project envisions the deployment of 130 e-scooters and 20 e-bikes . A special feature of the project is its supra-regional service area .
