Six free open-air concerts planned for July 2026
The Darmstadt Promenade Concerts will once again invite you to musical encounters under the open sky in July 2026. A total of six concerts are scheduled at various locations throughout the city – ranging from jazz and folk to international sounds.
Opening in the Herrngarten
The event kicks off on Saturday, July 4th, at 4 pm with the band "JaponSon" performing at the bandstand in the Herrngarten. The Herrngartencafé is a partner in this endeavor.
On Sunday, July 5th, at 11 a.m., the band "5nach12" will perform a concert at Kiosk 1975 in the Postsiedlung housing estate. The event is being organized in cooperation with the association "Zusammen in der Postsiedlung" (Together in the Postsiedlung).
Two concerts on July 12th
On Sunday, July 12th, two events are scheduled. At 11 a.m., the group "Just Friends" will play at the bandstand in the Herrngarten.
In the afternoon at 4 p.m., "Jazzy James" will perform under the canopy of leaves in the rose garden of Rosenhöhe Park. The event is a collaboration with the Friends of Rosenhöhe Park Association. Visitors are asked to bring their own seating such as blankets, cushions, or mats.
Folk, bluegrass and international music
On Sunday, July 19th, at 11 a.m., the “Pickin' Rooster Band” will be performing at the bandstand in the Herrngarten.
The July series concludes on Sunday, July 26th, at 11 a.m. with a performance by the group "El grupo NICEFIELD" on the concert stage in the Orangerie Garden. The Darmstadt Music Office is a cooperation partner.
Changes may occur depending on the weather conditions
The promenade concerts are free of charge and offer the opportunity to experience music in a special open-air atmosphere. Changes or cancellations due to weather conditions are possible at any time.
