New perspectives on history and literature
Radio Darmstadt, known as RadaR, is launching a new series, "Büchner's World," offering a fascinating exploration of the life and work of the renowned writer Georg Büchner. The first episode airs on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 5:00 PM on FM 103.4 MHz, DAB+, and via livestream. Subsequent episodes will be broadcast regularly on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Büchner's World – Insights into his Life, Work and Impact
The program is hosted by Luise and Peter Brunner , who together delve into the fascinating world of Georg Büchner. They explore not only his works and revolutionary ideas, but also his family, his environment, and the numerous connections that extend into the present day.

Peter Brunner, director of the Büchnerhaus in Riedstadt-Goddelau, has been intensively studying the Büchner family for decades. He is co-author of the family biography "The Büchners, or the Attempt to Change the World" and co-founder of the Luise Büchner Society . Together with his daughter Luise Brunner , a sociologist and trade union secretary, he explores open questions in each program – from the political and historical background to literary analyses and the modern relevance of Büchner's themes.
More than a historical perspective
The program not only illuminates Büchner's work and influence , but also the complex relationships within the family. The father-daughter dynamic between the presenters is particularly fascinating, offering a personal perspective on the subject matter.

Radio Darmstadt expands its programming with a culturally and historically significant series. Founded in 1997, the independent local station is supported by over 200 dedicated volunteers and offers a diverse program ranging from music, culture, and politics to international broadcasts .
