Traffic disruptions are expected at Böllenfalltor between June 29th and July 17th
As part of the 2026 road rehabilitation program, the Mobility and Civil Engineering Office of the City of Darmstadt is undertaking comprehensive renovation of the intersection of Nieder-Ramstädter Straße, Klappacher Straße, and Böllenfalltorweg. The work will begin on Monday, June 29, and is expected to be completed by Friday, July 17.
The asphalt surface will be renewed
During the construction work, the existing asphalt surface in the intersection area will be milled off and replaced. In addition, the drainage systems, road fixtures, and road markings will be repaired or replaced.
The renovation aims to improve the transport infrastructure in this heavily frequented area in the long term.
Traffic flow changes several times
During the construction work, road users should expect significant disruptions. Due to the progress of the construction, the traffic flow at the intersection will be adjusted several times.
The city therefore recommends avoiding the area as much as possible via the federal highways B426 and B3.
