Volunteers will be offering help with broken small appliances and toys on July 25th
Anyone wanting to repair a broken kitchen appliance or toy during the summer holidays will have another opportunity to do so on Saturday, July 25th. The Repair Café in the Old Town Hall of Crumstadt (Poppenheimer Straße 1) will be open from 2 pm to 5 pm and offers free, self-help assistance.
Under the guidance of volunteer repairers, visitors can repair items such as hand mixers, kitchen radios, and other small electrical appliances. Broken wooden toys and playground equipment can also be brought along. Visitors only need to cover the cost of any necessary replacement parts.
Large appliances and fully automatic coffee machines will not be repaired. All appliances brought in must be taken away again after the appointment – even if a repair was not possible.
Coffee and cake are also available. As the repair café is regularly well-attended, the organizers ask for your understanding if there are any waiting times.
Alongside the repair café, the neighboring Crumstadt Local History Museum will also be opening its doors. Since parking in front of the building is limited, parking is available at the rear of the Old Town Hall.
The team is also looking for additional volunteers with practical skills. Interested individuals can obtain information from Uwe Stenzel by phone at 06158 4277 or by email at uwe_stenzel@gmx.de.
