The volunteer agency invites you to the community center on November 22nd.
Weiterstadt. On Saturday, November 22, 2025 , the Weiterstadt Volunteer Agency once again open the doors to the popular Repair Café . Under the motto "Repair instead of throwing away," volunteer helpers will be on hand to repair broken everyday items.
Whether it's blunt scissors, wobbly bicycles, broken toasters, or torn clothing – at the Repair Café, many things are repaired together. The café offers several repair stations for
- Bicycles and walkers
- small electrical and mechanical appliances,
- Telephones and clothing,
- as well as changing watch batteries and sharpening scissors (maximum three items per person).
In addition, the Weiterstadt Foodsaver Association on site and is distributing free food that was about to be thrown away and was rescued by supermarkets.
Participation in the Repair Café is free ; only spare parts need to be paid for. Donations to support the initiative are welcome.
The Repair Café will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025 , from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the community center , Carl-Ulrich-Straße 9–13 in Weiterstadt. While repairs are being carried out, visitors can enjoy coffee, tea, and cake, chat, and make new contacts.
