New asphalt surfaces and seating areas completed
Further construction work was completed in the southwest residential area of Griesheim in May. According to the city, a section of Anne-Frank-Straße was resurfaced. Additionally, new seating was installed in front of the daycare center on Sophie-Scholl-Straße.
Second construction phase completed
The asphalt work in the northern part of Anne-Frank-Straße marked the completion of the second construction phase in the southwest residential area.
The third and final construction phase is scheduled to follow. According to the city, this includes the southern part of Anne-Frank-Straße with the adjacent courtyards, Clara-Schumann-Straße, Berta-von-Suttner-Straße, and the access road from Westring towards Flecksweg.
This section is currently still in the planning phase.

New seating in front of the daycare center
In front of the Sophie-Scholl-Straße daycare center, the municipal building yard has also installed a new circular bench around the linden tree there.
The area is complemented by five concrete seating blocks with wooden seating surfaces.
Municipal works department reports deliberate damage
Damage to the newly created flower beds in the residential area caused renewed annoyance.
Employees of the building yard discovered that newly planted perennials and shrubs had been deliberately torn out and placed next to the flower beds.
Since the plants were not yet sufficiently rooted, they could easily have been pulled out. Empty planting holes remained.
