Congratulations from the city, the state, and the church community
Helga and Wilhelm Schneider celebrated a rare wedding anniversary in Riedstadt: The couple from Goddelau look back on 65 years of marriage.
First City Councillor Richard Kraft was among those who personally congratulated the couple on their Iron Wedding Anniversary and conveyed not only the city's congratulations but also the greetings of the Hessian Minister-President and the District Administrator.
Celebration with family and friends
The special anniversary was celebrated with a reception at home together with family, friends and neighbors.
Pastor Helga Donat also conveyed the congratulations of the Protestant parish.
The celebration was accompanied by the two daughters, Jutta Trott and Petra Hummel, who shared many memories and stories from family life with the guests.
Wedding in 1961
Helga and Wilhelm Schneider were married on May 19, 1961.
Today, the family includes two married daughters, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
May remains a special month for the family: Wilhelm Schneider also celebrates his 90th birthday on May 27th.
