Warmth, exchange and European cohesion in the twin city
A delegation from Riedstadt at the large city festival of the Lithuanian twin town of Taurag . In representation of Mayor Marcus Kretschmann, first city councilor Ottmar Eberling to Lithuania - accompanied by members of the partnership association "Friends of Tauragadt" , including the club chairman and Tauragė's honorary citizen Klaus Minter .

nine partner cities of Tauragės met in a newly opened hotel . "It was particularly nice because we were able to have intensive discussions away from the official protocol on the arrival evening," said Eberling. The spirit of European cohesion was noticeable in Tauragė - also with regard to the German Brigade , which is currently stationed in Lithuania. "We learned a lot of gratitude for this," reports Eberling.
A particularly friendly exchange came with Vilius Petrauskas , the chairman of the Lithuanian partnership association "Germany's friends in Tauragė" .
Reception in the castle and visit program
The highlight of the official program was a reception by Tauragadt Mayor Dovydas Kaminskas in the city's historical castle. In addition to visiting the city festival, a varied supporting program was on the plan. Among other things, the Riedstadt delegation took the opportunity to get to know the large music school in Tauragė and exchange ideas with further delegations.
The city partnership between Riedstadt and Tauragė has existed since 1993 and has been actively cultivated since then - through mutual visits, cultural exchange and civil society.
