New song compositions based on poems by Hermann Hesse combine music, poetry and visual art.
Under the title "So ziehen Sterne ihre Bahn" (Thus Stars Draw Their Paths), the audience can expect a romantic evening of song featuring several world premieres. The program centers on new musical settings of poems by Hermann Hesse, composed by Anna Klein in the style of the great Romantics. The concert is complemented by works ranging from Franz Schubert to Richard Strauss.
A romantic song recital on October 25th combines music and art
A unique feature of the concert is the combination of the song compositions with artworks created specifically for this purpose by the artist Walter Padao. The paintings take up the musical and poetic themes and enter into an artistic dialogue with the compositions.
Thematically, the evening deals with love and longing, passion and transience, as well as personal changes and human emotions.
The musical program includes vocals, piano, and violin. This romantic song recital thus combines classical song, contemporary compositions, and visual art.
The concert is suitable for children aged ten and over.
