Review, outlook and new elections in the Next city Citizens' Center
At the senior assembly on March 26, 2025 in the Next city community, around 45 guests came together to look back on the past legislative period and to take a look at new projects for the older generation. The event was opened by Helge Morche, the chairman of the senior assembly, and Mayor Ralf Möller.
Review of successful projects
Dieter Veith , chairman of the senior advisory board, presented the highlights of the past few years: numerous events, sociable meetings, information offers and excursions had strengthened the cooperation between the senior citizens in Weiterstadt. Particularly gratifying: The popular thermal bath rides should be offered again after a long break.
Office for diversity and community care presented
office for diversity and participation was also presented at the meeting . This new contact point is intended to support citizens on questions about integration, inclusion and social services.
Community nurse Stephanie Wilferth also introduced herself. In the future, it will be available through personal advice, placement of care offers and support in everyday life - an important contribution to social care for older people in Weiterstadt.
New senior advisory board unanimously elected
Finally, the election of the senior advisory board on the agenda. All proposed candidates were elected unanimously . In the future, the new advisory board will represent the interests of the older generation and work closely with the city administration to further develop the offer for senior citizens.
