Arheilger Team starts at the Bike + Run in Kronberg over 13.2 kilometers
The triathletes of SG Arheilgen concluded their season with the final league competition of the year. At the Mixed League Bike + Run in Kronberg on Saturday, October 3rd, two women and two men from SGA competed over a distance of 13.2 kilometers.
Simone Barabas, Daniela Teske, Karsten Herisch and Torsten Velde completed the race in 2:06:24 hours under good weather conditions. This placed the triathlon team of SG Arheilgen twelfth out of 17 teams.
Successes also at the Herbert Fürböck Run
Also on October 3rd, other athletes from SG Arheilgen participated in the Herbert Fürböck Run in Traisa. Claudia Jehn and Anke Werner competed in the 10-kilometer race. Ulrike Bickert and Guido Götz completed the half marathon (21.1 kilometers).
Several SGA athletes achieved top placements in their age groups. Anke Werner won the W50 age group, and Claudia Jehn took second place in the W55 category.
There was also an age group victory in the half marathon: Ulrike Bickert took first place in the W50 category. Guido Götz came second in the M50 age group.
This meant that the athletes of SG Arheilgen were able to achieve successful results both at the season finale in Kronberg and at the race in Traisa.
