Strong times and podium finishes in sunny weather and headwinds
The triathletes of SG Arheilgen (SGA) have made a successful start to the running season. On Sunday, April 6th, they participated in both the North-South Marathon from Erzhausen to the Felsenmeer and the Griesheim road race.
41 kilometers with elevation gain: North-South Marathon
At the North-South Marathon, organized by the "Cold Showers" from Erzhausen, Bernd Eisele the challenging 41 kilometers with around 700 meters of elevation gain in 4 hours and 9 minutes . The route led from the flat Ried area up into the rocky terrain of the Odenwald forest – a remarkable achievement under demanding conditions.
Strong results in Griesheim
At the 52nd Griesheim road race, other SGA athletes took part – in distances of 5 kilometers , 10 kilometers and the half marathon .
5 km:
- Angelika Scholz : 26:35 minutes, 3rd place in the W60 age group
- Eva Riedel : 26:57 minutes
- Holger Scholz : 27:39 minutes
10 km:
- Marina Lefort : 41:10 minutes, 1st place in the W50 age group
Half marathon (21.1 km):
- Henri Lassig : 1:22:31 hrs, 3rd place in the M30 age group
- Guido Götz : 1:54:12 hrs.
- Stefan Wendel : 1:59:00 hrs.
- Lukas Beckmann : 1:59:48 hrs.
- Ulrike Bickert : 2:03:43 hours, 1st place in the W50 age group
Despite strong winds, all participants were satisfied with their performances – the start to the triathlon season was a success.
