The triathlon division of SG Arheilgen collected several class wins and podium finishes in five races
The runners of the SG Arheilgen triathlon division have started the running season with several podium finishes. From September 25th to 27th, SGA members competed in five races in Darmstadt, Groß-Umstadt, Reit im Winkl, Weinheim, and Dietzenbach.
Eva Riedel and Jan Ripper kicked things off on Friday at the Entega Night Run in Darmstadt. Riedel completed the 2.5 kilometers in 14:59 minutes, winning her W45 age group. Ripper needed 21:48 minutes for the five kilometers. This earned him second place in his age group and third place overall among the men.
Three podium finishes in Groß-Umstadt
At the 25th Groß-Umstadt Forest and Hill Run on Saturday, three SGA runners took part in the 13.2-kilometer race. Marina Lefort crossed the finish line after 1:02:32 hours. She won the W50 age group and also the overall women's title.
Anke Werner finished in 1:09:03 hours, taking second place in the W50 age group. Barbara Vierling crossed the finish line in 1:09:40 hours, winning her W40 age group.
Also on Saturday, Moritz Mattern started at the Mountainman in Reit im Winkl. He completed the eleven-kilometer course with 300 meters of elevation gain in 1 hour, 49 minutes, and 30 seconds.
Simone Barabas wins the women's overall ranking
On Sunday, Guido Götz ran the ten-kilometer race at the Weinheim Autumn Run. He reached the finish line after 49:32 minutes.
Simone Barabas secured another overall victory at the 19th Lions Dietzenbach City Run. She ran the four-kilometer course in 17:14 minutes, winning both the W45 age group and the overall women's title.
