Frankfurt Half Marathon and Barcelona Marathon with strong performances
The athletes of the SG Arheilgen triathlon department have had an intense weekend of sports. On Sunday, March 16, 2025, eight athletes participated in the Frankfurt Half Marathon, while Henri Lassig, the department's sports director, completed the marathon in Barcelona.
The Frankfurt Half Marathon offered near-ideal running conditions – only the wind presented a slight challenge. Nadine Silvia Krisch achieved a strong 57th place in the W35 age group with a time of 1:46:25. Franziska Elisabeth Heydt finished 772nd in the W40 age group with a time of 2:14:00, followed by Sylvia Heydt , who took 110th place in the W50 age group with a time of 2:17:51. Ulrike Bickert finished 68th in the W50 age group with a time of 2:03:04.
In the men's race, Anselm Schüle 211th in the M40 age group with a time of 1:39:45. Sascha Prehn in 126th in the M50 age group with a time of 1:45:16. Jürgen Heydt completed the race in 2:14:02, finishing 294th in the M55 age group, while Karsten Herisch finished 124th in the same age group with a time of 1:49:23. At the finish line, the athletes' achievements were rewarded with satisfied smiles and a sunny afternoon.
Simultaneously in Spain, Henri Lassig took part in the Barcelona Marathon . With a time of 2:49:34, he achieved a remarkable 334th place out of 6447 participants . "My best friend lives in Barcelona, and I promised to visit him once a year. So I'm taking advantage of that and will probably be running the Barcelona Marathon more often now," Lassig said before the race.
