18 participants at the sixth club evening in Weiterstadt
Eighteen players participated in the sixth match day of the Gräfenhausen Skat Club. As usual, two rounds of 36 games each were played. Traditionally, the four highest-scoring club members sit at table 1 in the second round.
This time, Helmut Veith met Andrea Sengstock, Martina Schmidt, and Silvia Ferch. Despite the focused atmosphere, the mood remained cheerful.
Skat as a mental and tournament sport
The image of the smoky pub is long gone. Skat has evolved into an organized strategy and tournament sport. Women are now firmly established and successful in skat – as the recent club meeting demonstrated.

Qualification for the cup round is underway
The first of five qualifying matchdays for the cup round began on February 7th. Gräfenhausen fielded two teams. Currently, both teams are in 5th and 6th place, respectively, and therefore still outside the four qualifying spots.
Club evening in Weiterstadt
The Skat Club of Gräfenhausen meets every Wednesday from 7 pm at the Gamebox Gräfenhausen venue, Schneppenhäuser Straße 5, 64331 Weiterstadt. Guests are welcome.
