Despite taking the lead through Lidberg, the Red Devils turned the game around
SV Darmstadt 98 suffered their first defeat of the season on Sunday evening. At the historic Betzenberg stadium in Kaiserslautern, the Lilies lost 1-3 (0-0) to 1. FC Kaiserslautern. Initially, things looked promising: Isac Lidberg put the South Hessians ahead in the 62nd minute with a clever goal. Shortly afterward, Fraser Hornby could have extended the lead, but FCK goalkeeper Krahl made a fine save. In the closing stages, Kaiserslautern turned the game around: Skyttä equalized in the 84th minute, before Alidou (90+1) and Raschl (90+4) sealed the victory in stoppage time. A bitter pill to swallow: after a spirited performance, the Lilies left empty-handed this time.
