Lecture series in Darmstadt starts on Thursday
The Darmstadt Adventist Church and the Marienhöhe School Center invite you to the opening of a four-part lecture series on the topic of "Dealing with digital social media" next Thursday, February 26th at 7 pm.
Under the title "Awake but tired: When we are constantly online – smartphones, social media and their effects on body and mind", the first evening is dedicated to the health and social consequences of intensive smartphone and social media use.
Focus on the impact on children and young people
The near-constant availability of digital media presents many families with new challenges. Children and teenagers, in particular, are considered vulnerable to potential consequences such as sleep deprivation, concentration problems, or social dependencies.
The lecture series aims to make connections understandable, raise awareness of risks, and provide guidance for the responsible use of digital media in everyday life.
The event will take place in the auditorium of the Marienhöhe school center, Auf der Marienhöhe 32, in Darmstadt. Admission is free.
