The city of Griesheim points out that all property owners are obligated to properly clear snow and ice from their properties and eliminate slip hazards. This regulation also applies to leaseholders , apartment owners, and usufructuaries . Even in the event of absence, such as due to vacation or illness, arrangements must be made in a timely manner for someone to take over.
Times and scope of the snow removal and gritting obligation
The obligation to clear snow and ice applies to all public footpaths and crossings along the respective property boundary. It is in effect every day between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. be required several times a day in the event of persistent snow or ice
