When the deer sees red: The color green between nature and perception
In June, Kranichstein Hunting Lodge offers a diverse program for culture enthusiasts who want to learn more about hunting history, color perception, and the role of "green." Two themed tours through the current special exhibition "When the Deer Sees Red – Hunters and Their Green," as well as a tour specifically designed for families, provide fascinating insights into historical and biological connections.
When the deer sees red: The color green between nature and perception

These and other questions are answered in the special exhibition at the Kranichstein Hunting Lodge Museum. The exhibition explores, among other things, the development of hunting clothing, the color perception of wild animals, and the symbolic meaning of green in 19th-century domestic culture.
