Tonies, Edurino and Tiptoi pens available now
The Groß-Gerau city library is expanding its offer to include innovative media for children and invites you to playfully discover the world of hearing and learning.
From now on, around 100 tonie figures are available for loan. The popular, colorful radio play characters are linked to stories, music or learning materials and provide a lot of hearing fun. In addition, the library also offers two tonie boxes to borrow, with which children and families can try out the tonies. "The demand for the tonies is huge - we are happy about the great encouragement," explains Pamela Baer, head of the city library.
Playful learning
Another highlight are the new Edurino starter sets. These contain an ergonomic pen and a character that represents different learning worlds. Via the Edurino app, children between the ages of 4 and 8 can learn digital skills and important future skills in a playful way. The sets are specially designed to introduce children to digital media responsibly.
The Tiptoi offer, which has been an integral part of the library's media offer for around ten years, has also been continuously expanded. In addition to the popular Tiptoi books and games, two Tiptoi pens can now also be borrowed. The Tiptoi-Abbey brings books and games to life: If you tap pictures or texts, sounds, language or music, which makes learning particularly exciting. The range includes topics for children from the age of two and is ideal for the playful knowledge acquisition.
Mayor Jörg Rüddenklau emphasizes: “With the expansion of the offer, the city library once again shows how it responds to the needs of families in Groß-Gerau. The new media offer children the opportunity to learn playfully and at the same time find access to modern technology. ”
The city library cordially invites everyone interested to discover the new media. The library is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Fridays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The library remains closed on Mondays.
