Reptiles, fish and microscopy – educational program during the summer holidays
The Vivarium Zoo in Darmstadt offers a diverse program for children during the summer holidays. The focus is on exciting guided tours and hands-on workshops where participants learn more about reptiles, fish, domestic animals, and the workings of a zoo. Microscopy is also taught in an age-appropriate manner.
The summer holiday program starts on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, and includes the following dates:
- Tuesday, July 8 : Guided tour “Reptiles” (10 a.m.)
- Friday, July 11 : Workshop “Why pets are farm animals” (10–12 am)
- Monday, July 14 : Guided tour “How does a zoo work?” (10 a.m.)
- Wednesday, July 16 : Guided tour “Diversity of Fish” (10 a.m.)
- Monday, July 28 : Guided tour “Reptiles” (10 a.m.)
- Wednesday, July 30 : Workshop “Why pets are farm animals” (10–12 am)
- Friday, August 1st : Workshop “Microscopy for Kids” (10 am – 12 pm)
The meeting point is the zoo school . Participation in the guided tours costs €4.50 , the workshops cost €9 – in addition to zoo admission .
