Match against San Antonio FC now on September 29, 2026
SV Darmstadt 98 has postponed its friendly match against cooperation partner San Antonio FC, originally scheduled for March, to September 29, 2026. This is due to the changed structure of the match calendar for the 2026/27 season.
The newly introduced and extended three-week international break in September allows for better integration of the professional team's travel schedule into the fixture list. According to the club, this enables optimized athletic preparation.
Delegation trip will take place as planned
The planned delegation trip to San Antonio in March will still take place. Representatives from the executive board and management will undertake the trip to attend business and urban networking meetings.
The focus remains on expanding partnerships, exchanging ideas with local stakeholders, and supporting local social projects. The exchange with the cooperation partner and the city extends beyond the realm of sports.
Support for affected fans
The club points out that fans who have already booked flights and hotels will be taken into consideration. The fan support team will contact those affected to offer financial assistance with rebookings or cancellations.
Tickets already purchased for the test match remain valid for the new date in September.
