Lidberg and Hornby score in the 2-0 win at the sold-out Bölle
SV Darmstadt 98 remains on a winning streak. On Friday evening, the Lilies celebrated their third consecutive win, beating Dynamo Dresden 2-0 (1-0) at their home stadium, the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. The South Hesse club thus increased their points tally to an impressive 16 points after seven matchdays and maintained their lead.

The match began evenly and tactically dominated. Both teams worked hard against the ball, but real chances were initially scarce. But in the 37th minute, the Bölle erupted in celebration: After a misplaced pass from Dresden and Marco Richter won the ball, the ball fell to Isac Lidberg. The Swede broke through in the penalty area and calmly slotted home the 1-0 lead – his seventh goal of the season.
Shortly after the break, the decisive moment came: Fraser Hornby had missed a chance with a header seconds earlier, but then remained cool in the 48th minute. After a precise through ball from Killian Corredor, the Scot appeared unmarked in front of Dresden's keeper and fired home to make it 2-0 – and at just the right time.
Buoyed by the atmospheric crowd, the Lilies continued to control the game. Florian Kohfeldt's team was solid defensively, conceding little, and they remained a constant threat going forward. While no further goals were scored, the 17,650 spectators witnessed a commanding performance from their team.
