From April, residents can have certain sections of roads block for children to play
From April to September 2025, the city of Griesheim is once again bringing back the popular “Time Spielstrasse” project. The aim is to provide children in residential areas a safe piece of street for playing for an afternoon - without through traffic or parked cars.
Residents can apply for a special permit in order to block a section of their road on weekdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. for motorized traffic. The offer applies to certain, already designated roads. Haupt traffic axes such as Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße and streets with a high volume of traffic, construction sites or high parking pressure are excluded.
