From April onwards, residents can have certain sections of streets closed off for children to play on
From April to September 2025, the city of Griesheim will once again bring back the popular "temporary play street" project. The aim is to provide children in residential areas with a safe section of street to play on for one afternoon a week – without through traffic or parked cars.
Residents can apply to the city administration for a special permit a section of their street to motorized traffic 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße , as well as streets with high traffic volume, construction sites, or high parking demand, are excluded.
