After two sold-out performances, Erich Kästner's satirical play "The School for Dictators" to the Büchner Stage in Riedstadt-Leeheim for two more performances in June. Those who missed the opportunity so far can still tickets Saturday, June 7th , and Friday, June 13th .
Erich Kästner's play, which premiered in Munich in 1957, is considered one of the most important anti-totalitarian comedies in world literature. In a fictional state, an assassinated dictator is replaced by his followers through imitations, without the population noticing the change. Successors are trained in a "School for Dictators" until an idealist challenges the system. Kästner's text is biting, topical, and imbued with burlesque seriousness—a timeless commentary on power and manipulation.
The performances take place at the theater at Kirchstraße 16 in Riedstadt-Leeheim . They begin at 7:30 pm , and the theater café opens one hour beforehand . Tickets cost €20 in advance and €23 at the door .
