Mayor Benz praises exam successes – “Proof of the quality of the city's training”
The city of Darmstadt, a center of science and research, honored its top young professionals on Friday, March 21, for their outstanding performance in the 2024 final examinations. Mayor and Head of Human Resources Hanno Benz presented the awards in the council chamber and emphasized the importance of high-quality training for the future of the city administration.
“These achievements are a fantastic personal success for all of you – but also proof of the high quality of training offered by the City of Darmstadt,” said Benz. “In the future, you will contribute your qualifications and ideas to making our city even more citizen-oriented and livable. For this, I thank you and offer my warmest congratulations on these results.”
The honored young professionals achieved final grades of 1 or 2 in their respective training programs. Benz also praised the dedicated work of the trainers in the various departments, who had significantly contributed to their success.
Excellent young talent
The following graduates were honored:
- Civil servants in the higher service: Yannis Flath, Beheshta Popal, Alexandra Marie Sali
- Senior fire service official: Holger Öhlenschläger
- Officials in the intermediate fire service: Ramon Hanebuth, Sven Koppenhöfer, Patrizio Giovanni Rendina, Marius Schwab, Jens-Birger Sereße, Paul Walter
- Media and Information Services Specialist: Nicole Hennich
- Administrative assistants: Christina Fleischhauer, Klara Marie Laura Schulz
With this award, the city of Darmstadt underlines its ambition not only to be an attractive employer, but also to promote young talent at a high level.
