The city welcomes dedicated young professionals to the town hall, library, and daycare centers
Weiterstadt. Last week, Ralf Möller trainees, volunteers, and interns at Weiterstadt Town Hall . This marks the start of another year of dedicated young people's professional or voluntary service to the city and its institutions.
“We are delighted to welcome so many motivated young people,” said Möller during the welcoming ceremony. “They all make an important contribution to our city – be it in the administration, the library, or our daycare centers.”
Recruits for daycare centers, library and administration
This year, five PivA trainees , eight interns (from the vocational school and social assistance programs) and two volunteers in the Social Year (FSJ) started their service in the city's daycare centers.
PivA stands for practice-integrated paid training to become an educator. Unlike traditional school-based training, trainees here work directly in childcare facilities and receive a training allowance – a model that closely integrates theory and practice.

Deployment in the city library and town hall
In the Weiterstadt city library, a new volunteer (FSJ) is supporting the team with lending, media maintenance and the organization of events.
two new trainees their apprenticeships as administrative assistants at the town hall . Over the coming years, they will become familiar with various departments and areas of responsibility and gradually take on more responsibility.
