Hessen Mobil is closing sections of the B 3 and K 146 for safety work
Eberstadt/Bickenbach. Due to necessary tree felling work, traffic disruptions are expected on Tuesday (July 8) on the B3 federal highway between Eberstadt and Darmstadt, as well as on the K146 district road between Bickenbach and Seeheim-Jugenheim. Hessen Mobil has announced lane closures; in some cases, traffic will be completely stopped for short periods during the felling work.
The work is being carried out on behalf of the Groß-Gerau road maintenance department. The reason for the measures is the lack of stability of several trees. Some are dead, while others have had their roots damaged by wild boar activity and pose a potential danger to road traffic.
On the B 3, the measure affects the section between Eberstadt and Darmstadt. Two further dead birch trees will be removed along the K 146. The measures have been coordinated with the responsible Lower Nature Conservation Authority.
