From the marathon to triathlon - the entry into the three -way battle
Ortland: Nadine, since when have you been a member of the department?
Krisch: Since November 1, 2021.
Ortland: How did you get to the triathlon?
Krisch: I've been running a marathon since 2018. However, no competitions took place during the Corona years 2020 and 2021. My friend is a professional triathlete , and in 2021 we visited many competitions in Austria that could take place there earlier.
That motivated me to try it myself. I signed up for the 3Sathlon 10-friends triathlon a week beforehand -both competitions are sprint distances. Since I was the last to come out of the water and had to chase everyone behind, I decided to learn the crawl swimming at the SGA . In the meantime, it also works quite well.
Sporty background and first long distance
Ortland: What did you do for sports before the triathlon?
Krisch: Always a lot. I always enjoyed sport. I children's gymnastics, swimming and ballet and started riding at eight or nine years .
Rope-skipping , standard dance , cheer dance, the Darmstadt Diamonds (American Football) and finally cheerleading at SV Darmstadt 98 were added. In 2017 I discovered endurance sports , and just a year and a half later I ran my first marathon. The triathlon has also been added since 2021
Ortland: You even found a long distance . That requires a lot of training. How do you get that under one hat with your job?
Krisch: I probably have no more than other full -time employees . I work in the personnel development of a water supplier - four days in the office, one day in the home office.
It depends on good time management . I often drive the almost 20 kilometers to work with the gravel bike to integrate the training directly. I do running and swimming training either early in the morning or late at night , longer units are reserved for the weekend. trainer to plan this in a structured manner .
Goals for the next season
Ortland: Nadine, do you tell us how old you are?
Krisch: I'm 36 years old .
Ortland: And what are your next sporting goals?
Krisch: I am currently planning my marathon and triathlon season . A spring marathon is being planned and the Frankfurt Marathon in October is firmly on the calendar every year. In 2025 I will also start Frankfurt Ironman
