Action "blessed on the go" accompanies travelers to the holiday start in Hessen
With the beginning of the summer vacation in Hesse on July 4th, many families start the holiday season - full of anticipation, but also with the desire for security and blessings for the trip. A special campaign on Saturday, July 5, 2025, offers exactly that: Under the motto "blessed on the way" , pastors and predicants from the Evangelical Deanery of Darmstadt to a holiday sheet at the Gräfenhausen west rest area .
From 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., pastors are ready to respond to individual blessings, have talks or simply to take care of a short moment of calm in everyday travel.
The campaign is supported by "Festival in Life" , the innovation and coordination center of the Evangelical Deanery of Darmstadt, together with the Stadtjugendpfarramt Darmstadt . The aim is not only to wish travelers a good start to the holidays, but also to offer spiritual accompaniment on the way.
"We look forward to a blessing encounters and to ensure a short breather even in the greatest vacation stress," say the coordinators Pastor Astrid Maria Horn and city youth pastor Dagmar Unkelbach .
