Final tournament at the Gernsheim Golf Resort with record participation and a special “hole-in-one”
WIEST Charity Golf Tour (WCGTour) with a grand finale at the Hof Gräbenbruch Golf Resort in Gernsheim . Nearly 160 players came together for the "Gastronomy Prize" to play for a good cause. The tour raised a total of €15,000 for the Darmstadt/Rhine-Main-Neckar Association for Children with Cancer and Chronically Illnesses.
Record participation despite summer heat

The tournament has been one of the highlights of the regional golf calendar for years and was once again fully booked. Due to high demand, another round could have been filled. The tournament was played in two rounds, with a shotgun start in the morning and afternoon. Despite temperatures exceeding 35 degrees Celsius, the atmosphere was positive, supported by extensive catering including breakfast, a lunch buffet, and halfway stations.
Tournament highlights and winners
The gross victories went to Lucia Carvalho da Silva-Prior from the Gernsheim Golf Resort and Lukas Lampe from the Herzogenaurach Golf Club. Lampe also achieved an exceptional shot: On the first hole, he made a hole-in-one on a par-4 hole – a rare feat that garnered enthusiastic applause and additional donations.

1 hole-in-one, 72 birdies, 659 pars, and 911 bogeys were recorded during the tournament . These alone raised €2,474.50 in prize money. Additional donations from participants and guests increased the total to over €4,000, before sponsors and the WIEST GROUP topped up the total to €15,000.
Commitment and thanks
During the evening program, the organizers emphasized the importance of the project and the special solidarity of all partners. This year, the WCG Tour team counted around 50 supporters who made the series possible. "The WCG Tour is a project close to everyone's heart," explained Tobias Haas and André Jelinski of the WIEST GROUP.
Fritz Georg von Ritter and Markus Rusam accepted the donation check on behalf of the VKKD . Both expressed their gratitude for the tremendous solidarity and support.
Outlook for 2026
In addition to the sporting activities, a BBQ buffet, awards ceremony, a chipping contest, and a guessing game with an electric scooter as the main prize provided entertainment. Afterwards, the celebration continued until the early hours.

The WCGTour team thanked around 650 participating players and all partners for their commitment and announced a continuation of the charity tournament series in 2026 .
