Final tournament at the Gernsheim golf resort with record participation and a special "hole-in-one"
WIEST Charity Golf Tour (WCGTour) with a grand finale at the Hof Gräbenbruch Golf Resort in Gernsheim . Nearly 160 players gathered for the "Prize of Gastronomy" to play together for a good cause. The tour raised a total of €15,000 for the Darmstadt/Rhine-Main-Neckar Association for Children with Cancer and Chronic Illnesses.
Record turnout despite summer heat

The tournament has been a highlight of the regional golf calendar for years and was fully booked again this year. Due to high demand, another round could have been filled. The tournament consisted of two rounds with shotgun starts, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Despite temperatures exceeding 35 degrees Celsius, the atmosphere was excellent, thanks in part to the comprehensive catering, including breakfast, a lunch buffet, and halfway refreshments.
Tournament highlights and winners
The gross victories went to Lucia Carvalho da Silva-Prior from the Gernsheim Golf Resort and Lukas Lampe from the Herzogenaurach Golf Club. Lampe also achieved an extraordinary shot: On the first hole, he scored a hole-in-one on a par-4 hole – a rare feat that garnered enthusiastic applause and additional donations.

, 1 hole-in-one, 72 birdies, 659 pars, and 911 bogeys were recorded during the tournament . This alone generated €2,474.50 in prize money. Further donations from participants and guests increased the amount to over €4,000 before sponsors and the WIEST GROUP topped up the total to €15,000.
Commitment and thanks
During the evening program, the organizers emphasized the importance of the project and the special solidarity among all partners. This year, the WCGTour team counted around 50 supporters who made the series possible. "The WCGTour is a passion project for everyone involved," explained Tobias Haas and André Jelinski of the WIEST GROUP.
Fritz Georg von Ritter and Markus Rusam accepted the donation check on behalf of the VKKD . Both expressed their gratitude for the great solidarity and support.
Outlook for 2026
Besides the sporting events, a BBQ buffet, awards ceremony, a chipping contest, and a guessing game with an electric scooter as the grand prize provided entertainment. The celebrations continued until the early hours of the morning.

The WCGTour team thanked the approximately 650 participating players and all partners for their commitment and announced a continuation of the charity tournament series in 2026 .
