Market breakfast offers an alternative in the church garden
The popular "Woi-Eck" (wine corner) at the BüchnerHaus in Riedstadt-Goddelau will be taking a short break next weekend. This is due to the market breakfast, which will take place on Saturday, July 11th, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the garden of the Goddelau Protestant parish.
The Goddelau initiative Schorsch-Town, in cooperation with the association BüchnerFindetStatt, opened the Woi-Eck (wine corner) for the first time this year on June 12th. For a total of six weeks, the event invites people to socialize in the garden of the Büchner House at Weidstraße 9 every Friday through Sunday.
The menu includes specialty coffees, refreshing drinks, cocktails (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and light meals. Guests are also welcome to enjoy a picnic on the lawn in the garden.
Community, exchange and regional offerings
While Woi-Eck is taking a break from July 10th to 12th, Schorsch-Town is participating in the market breakfast at Starkenburger Straße 34. There, the initiative will focus on its roasted coffee specialties.
Other local and regional vendors complement the offerings with various culinary specialties. The market breakfast aims to bring people together, facilitate encounters, and simultaneously strengthen local and regional producers.
“In our opinion, a kind of market breakfast can be a nice way to bring residents together in a relaxed atmosphere, create community, promote exchange and strengthen local and regional retailers,” Schorsch-Town describes the idea behind the event.
After the short break, the Woi-Eck at the BüchnerHaus will reopen to visitors as usual.
