Yolot concert with music from four decades
On the 80th anniversary of the end of the war, Dotter Foundation presented an urgent concert program that reflects the eventful history of the 20th century through music.
The focus is on works by Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Paul Hindemith, Viktor Ullmann and Mieczysław Weinberg - four composers, whose fates and works reflect the dramatic upheavals of their time. The music spans the arch from the pre -war period to Roaring Twenties to compositions that were created after the National Socialists' seizure of power and finally led to the "hour zero" after 1945.
Trio Delyria and Çagla Gürsoy concert on the stage . Actress Gabriele Drechsel , member of the ensemble at the Darmstadt drama , complements the music with readings of texts and poems, among others, by Stefan Zweig, Ernst Jandl, Walter Mehring, Erich Kästner and Mascha Kaléko .
The pre-sale for the 68th yolk concert is running. Interested parties are invited on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Ernst Ludwig Hall in Darmstadt-Eberstadt . A free introductory lecture place at 5:30 p.m.
As part of the concert, donations for a 3D cut model of the Eberstadt synagogue collected, which is implemented virtual reconstruction by the Technical University of Darmstadt
