Successful qualification – now the tournament in Sprendlingen awaits
As DA.news has already reported about the club , the Gräfenhausen Skat Club is an integral part of the regional skat scene. Now there is further good news: The duo Jürgen Führer and Wolfgang Schroth have qualified for the South Hessian Tandem Skat Championship , which will take place on May 18th in Sprendlingen .
Historic qualification for skat players
For the first time, a team from the Gräfenhausen Skat Club is participating in this tournament – after numerous missed opportunities in recent years. The qualifying round took place at the Offenthal community center , where 24 teams competed. Twelve teams secured a place in the championship.
Three series of 48 games each were played . Führer and Schroth finished in ninth place with 6070 game points , which was enough to advance. The top three teams were: 1️⃣ Dieburg I – 7045 SP 2️⃣ Dieburg II – 6583 SP 3️⃣ SRC Dreieich – 6388 SP
The “Grewweheiser” delivered a strong performance across all three series:
- Series 1: 9th place with 2224 SP
- Series 2: 15th place with 1755 points
- Series 3: 6th place with 2091 points
Jürgen Führer with 3224 points and Wolfgang Schroth with 2846 points had the largest share of the points collected .
Now it's time to keep our fingers crossed!
Having successfully qualified, the Skat players face an exciting challenge on May 18th in Sprendlingen . There's still plenty of time to prepare at the Skat club's practice evenings . 📍 When? Every Wednesday from 7:00 PM
