Büttelborn ensemble receives cultural promotion prize from the district
The Büttelborn Youth Wind Orchestra is the recipient of the 2024 Cultural Promotion Prize of the Groß-Gerau district. The jury of the cultural (promotion) prize selected the ensemble, founded in 1990 and currently comprising around 30 members, from several nominations.
Award ceremony at the "People in the Castle" festival
The Cultural Promotion Prize is awarded annually, alternating with the Groß-Gerau District Cultural Prize at the beginning of the year . Due to the orchestra's planned performance schedule, the award ceremony has been postponed to August 24, 2024 .

By receiving the award at the festival, the orchestra is introduced to a wider audience and receives additional attention.
Jury recognizes musical and social significance
The jury highlighted outstanding musical training as well as its voluntary cultural and youth work .
It was particularly emphasized:
- The high quality of the musical education
- The opportunity for young talents to develop musically
- The provision of wind instruments , which has become rare in modern times.
- The social and infrastructural importance for youth work
The jury sees the work of the orchestra as providing important cultural and educational support – especially for a musical genre that is no longer a given in today's mainstream.
