Workshops and guided tours on guinea pigs, farm animals and egg science
The Vivarium Zoo in Darmstadt offers an exciting program for children during the 2025 Easter holidays, focusing on animals and their way of life. Between April 7th and 10th, there will be guided tours and workshops on various animal-related topics.
On Monday, April 7th , the focus will be "Eggs in the Animal Kingdom ." The guided tour will cover which animals lay eggs and the differences in egg-laying reproduction. The question "Which came first: the chicken or the egg?" will also be discussed. The tour starts at 10:00 AM and costs €4.50 per person (plus admission).
Two-hour workshops for young animal lovers
The two-hour workshop "How do I keep guinea pigs in a species-appropriate manner?" will take place on Wednesday, April 9th, at 1 p.m. A further workshop on the topic "Why pets are farm animals" on Thursday, April 10th, at 10 a.m. Both workshops are aimed at children and cost €9 per child (plus admission).
