Demolition work will cause restrictions from April 17th to 20th
Significant traffic disruptions are expected on the A67 motorway during the weekend of April 17th to 20th, 2026. This is due to demolition work at the Griesheim interchange, as announced by Autobahn GmbH.
Full closure and affected connections
The A67 will be completely closed from Friday, April 17th, at approximately 10 pm until Monday, April 20th, at approximately 5 am.
The following connections are also affected:
- A672 from Darmstadt onto the A67 in both directions
- Connections from the A67 to the A672 to Darmstadt
Detours in both directions
Traffic heading towards Wiesbaden will be diverted via the A5 from the Darmstadt interchange. Traffic from Darmstadt will also be diverted via the A5.
For long-distance traffic, a large-scale diversion via the A6, the Viernheim interchange, and the A61 and A63 towards Mainz is planned.
Traffic heading towards Mannheim will also be diverted via the A5. Traffic from Groß-Gerau will additionally be routed via the B42 to the Weiterstadt interchange.
Further restrictions until the end of May
Following the weekend of the demolition, one connection remains closed: The ramp from the A67 from Mannheim to the A672 towards Darmstadt will not be usable until the end of May 2026.
In this case, the detour will be via the A5 towards Frankfurt and then back onto the A672.
Autobahn GmbH asks road users for their understanding and recommends allowing more time.
