New impulses for more participation and movement in the district of Groß-Gerau
With the festive license in Dornberg Castle, a special qualification measure in the Groß-Gerau district ended on July 3, 2025: 15 participants received their license as a trainer-C in popular sports with the profile "Children and Adolescents". Another milestone for integration and participation was set in club sport.
The intercultural training was carried out for the second time as part of the sports development planning of the Groß-Gerau district . It was organized by the district's movement coordination in cooperation with the district college , sports funding , the sports group Groß-Gerau , the sports youth Hesse and the sports club Blau-Gelb Groß-Gerau .
Education and movement for everyone
The aim of the measure is to people with and without migration history to have low -threshold access to sports pedagogical qualifications. In addition to free childcare , sports -oriented language support and tandem learning also contributed with regard to holiday season and Ramadan .
"Access to education should be open to everyone," emphasizes movement coordinator Patrizia Frank . The “Climbing inclusive” module under the direction of Dr. Matthias Grell (nature lover) , in which rope commands were trained in ten languages - a creative contribution to intercultural competence.
Use in clubs and educational projects
In the future, the new trainers will be active sports clubs, schools and health projects in the Groß-Gerau district Some already support the Hessian movement check at primary schools or the everyday fitness test for senior citizens . A specially built trainer pool ensures your long-term integration.
Thanks to the support from "Sportland Hessen moved", new barrier-free security systems in the bouldering hall of the Luise Büchner School to be installed-another step towards inclusive movement offers in the district.
Continuation already being planned
Further training in the southern district is in preparation . "Interest is growing continuously-not least through recommendations from our previous graduates as well as the support of sports coaches and the job center," explains Patrizia Frank. The measure not only helps against the lack of exercise , but also against waiting lists in children's sports .
Last year 25 people had already successfully participated in Rüsselsheim-some of them even acquired the basketball D trainer license .
