The working group “Backes” of the Eberstadt Citizens' Association of 1980 eV invites you again to the traditional baking day at the Geibel'sche Schmiede on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
Baking in a wood-fired clay oven
The event will take place in the garden of the Geibel blacksmith shop at Oberstraße 20 in Eberstadt.
Visitors can bring their own dough for bread, rolls, pizza or cakes and bake it in the historic clay oven.
The process:
- From 10 a.m.: Firing up the oven and preparations
- From about 12 noon: Pizza and tarte flambée
- From 1 p.m.: Bread baking
- Then: baking a cake
- Around 3 p.m.: End of the baking day
A cozy get-together is planned
The freshly baked food can be eaten on-site in the garden or in the covered barn. Drinks are available for purchase.
The working group also offers its own pizzas and tarte flambée.
Participation is free
Participation in the baking day is free of charge. A donation box will be available on site.
The next baking day is already scheduled for June 27, 2026.
