Rural women's association and KiJuPa invite you to participate in the bee roundabout
Around World Bee Day on May 20th, an event to promote bee conservation will take place in Nauheim on Saturday, May 16th, 2026. The Nauheim Rural Women's Association, together with the Nauheim Children's and Youth Parliament, is organizing an intergenerational program.
Maintaining the bee sculptures is the focus
From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., the wooden bee sculptures at the roundabout on Rüsselsheimer Straße and Berzallee will be cleaned and treated with a preservative. The aim is to ensure the long-term preservation of these well-known figures. The municipal works department is supporting the project.
Activities for children and families
At the same time, there are various activities for children. In addition to crafts and puzzles about bees, children are invited to create or bring their own "bee pictures".
Beekeeper Jörg Horneff will also provide insights into the world of bees, explaining his work and answering questions. The program will be complemented by a small honey tasting.
Donation handover as the highlight
A special highlight of the program is the presentation of a donation from the rural women's association to the children's and youth parliament. The funds are intended to support future projects of the young people.
Mayor Marc Friedrich emphasizes the importance of the campaign: In addition to the practical commitment to bee protection, it also promotes exchange within the community.
