Peter Schöffer Project Theatre presents a crime comedy on three evenings in October at the town hall
The Peter Schöffer Project Theatre will present the crime comedy "Bubblegum and Diamonds" at the Gernsheim Town Hall from October 16th to 18th, 2026. The play by Jürgen Baumgarten will be performed on three evenings. Tickets are now on sale
The story centers on the heavily indebted Sir George Eastermoore. Together with his wife Ellen, he searches for a way out of the family's financial difficulties. But the plan increasingly takes an unexpected turn.
A diamond ring causes complications
At Eastermoore Manor, aristocratic relatives, a status-conscious butler, and other visitors with diverse interests converge. A pistol and a valuable diamond ring, which ends up in a gumball machine under unusual circumstances, add further complications.
Lord Tom Meow-Meow III, the family cat, also plays a role in the events. Misunderstandings, suspicions, and shifting plans drive the plot of this British-style crime comedy forward.
Three performances in the town hall
The Peter Schöffer Project Theatre was founded in 2024. Following a production about Peter Schöffer, "Bubblegum and Diamonds" is the ensemble's next major stage project. It is directed by theatre educator Ingeborg Eisenberger.
The performances in the Gernsheim town hall will take place on Friday, October 16th, at 8 pm, on Saturday, October 17th, at 7 pm and on Sunday, October 18th, at 5 pm .
Information and tickets are available from the Peter Schöffer Project Theatre.
