Children learn to be more safe in the water at the Groß-Gerau indoor swimming pool
Knowing how to swim is an important skill: it provides safety, strengthens self-confidence, and allows children to move freely in the water. After the summer holidays, the Groß-Gerau Adult Education Center (KVHS) will again be offering swimming courses for beginners at the Groß-Gerau indoor swimming pool.
Under the guidance of experienced swimming instructor André Hahl, the children learn basic swimming techniques step by step and gain more confidence in the water. A motivating atmosphere, playful exercises, and age-appropriate methods are central to the lessons.
This program is aimed at children who already enjoy being in the water, can put their heads underwater, and can briefly stay afloat with their own movements. Training focuses on areas such as coordination, body awareness, and independence.
The aim of the courses is to learn the basics of breaststroke and backstroke. Depending on individual learning progress, children can also be prepared for the Seahorse swimming badge or the Bronze swimming badge.
