The main office and district libraries with new times - book bus paused until August 19th
During the summer holidays from July 7 to August 15, 2025, for the Darmstadt City Library . Both the main area in the Justus-Liebig-Haus and the district libraries . The book bus takes a maintenance break during this time.
New opening times from July 14th
The regular opening times remain in the first week of vacation (July 7th to 12th). From Monday, July 14th , the following holidays apply:
- Main center (Justus-Liebig-Haus):
Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - District library Kranichstein:
Tuesday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. - District library Eberstadt:

Book bus pauses until August 19th
The book bus will remain out of service during the entire holiday. Time is used for maintenance and cleaning . From August 19, the bus will continue to start all stops as scheduled. The loan periods for media were extended accordingly, so that no return in the book bus is necessary during the break.
Digital offers around the clock
Regardless of the opening times, the digital offers of the city library-including e-books, audio books and online newspapers-are still available around the clock
