Software upgrade causes an additional one-week closure – bookmobile takes summer break
During the summer holidays, the Darmstadt City Library will have modified opening hours. Additionally, some branches will be temporarily closed due to a software update. The bookmobile will also be taking a summer break.
From Monday, July 6th, to Saturday, August 8th, the main branch of the city library in the Justus Liebig House will be open Tuesdays to Fridays from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm.
The district library in Kranichstein will be open during this period from Tuesday to Thursday from 10 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Due to a planned software upgrade, the locations in the Justus-Liebig-Haus as well as the district libraries in Eberstadt and Kranichstein will remain closed from Monday, July 20th, to Monday, July 27th.
The bookmobile will resume service on August 11th
The city library's bookmobile will remain in the garage during the summer break until and including August 10th. From Tuesday, August 11th, it will resume its usual stops.
Loan periods have been adjusted accordingly, so that no media need to be returned to the bookmobile during the break.
The digital services of the Darmstadt City Library will generally remain available around the clock. However, there may be some restrictions during the software migration from July 20th to 27th.
