The city is promoting Munich as a business and innovation location
With virtual reality, new discussion formats, and a location marketing campaign, the science city of Darmstadt will present itself at Expo Real 2026 in Munich from October 5th to 7th. The international trade fair for real estate, investment, and infrastructure will focus on the future of the region, new residential and commercial spaces, and the transformation of Darmstadt's city center.
For this year's trade fair, the city has further developed its presence. In addition to discussions with investors, project developers, and industry experts, a stage program, a digital city experience, and new location communication are planned. The aim is to showcase Darmstadt's potential, establish contacts, and provide impetus for the further development of the location.
Joint appearance with partners from the region
Darmstadt will be presenting itself at Expo Real at the joint stand of the FrankfurtRheinMain metropolitan region in Hall C1, Stand 230. Partners include the Darmstadt-Dieburg district, the Groß-Gerau district, bauverein AG, and the Darmstadt and Dieburg savings banks. This is intended to highlight cooperation across municipal boundaries.
New materials for presenting the location and an expanded range of products "Made in Darmstadt" complement the trade fair appearance. Thematically, the focus will be on highlighting the connection between science, business, technology, and urban development.
Discussions about construction projects and commercial space
Another focus is on direct exchange with the real estate and investment sector. Mayor and Head of Economic Affairs Hanno Benz and City Treasurer André Schellenberg plan to hold talks with stakeholders from the business and real estate industries. Topics will include current projects, development prospects, and potential investments and collaborations for Darmstadt and the region.
The Darmstadt booth will offer information on current construction projects, commercial properties, economic data, and development opportunities. The city intends to use the trade fair to strengthen existing contacts and initiate new partnerships.
To conclude the first day of the trade fair, Darmstadt, together with its regional partners, invites you to a get-together at booth C1.230 on Monday, October 5th, starting at 5 pm.
