Buy, exchange and find out more on April 18th in the Orangery
The BUND (Friends of the Earth Germany) is hosting its first plant flea market in Darmstadt. The event will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the BUND Center for Urban Nature.
Buying and selling plants
At the flea market, all kinds of plants can be bought and sold. Especially in spring, it offers the opportunity to pass on surplus young plants, cuttings or perennials, or to discover new plants for the garden, balcony or home.
Even those who decide at the last minute can still participate: Registration is possible, specifying the space required. Setup begins at 8 a.m. There is no stall fee; donations are welcome.
Information on invasive species
Information stands will also be set up to provide information about invasive plants and the Asian hornet. This aims to raise awareness of ecological connections.
A glimpse into the excellent BUND center
The flea market also offers the opportunity to visit the BUND Center for Urban Nature, which was awarded a prize by the city of Darmstadt for climate protection and climate adaptation at the end of 2025. Coffee and cake will be available for visitors.
